Donations of Appreciated Stock or Securities
It may be advantageous for you to make a gift of this type. First, you receive an income tax deduction equal to the full fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift. In addition, no capital gains tax is due when WonderLab sells the stock, so the full value of the gift supports our mission. When transferring stock, please call the Development Department to let us know your broker will be transferring stock, the kind of stock and how much, and where to direct your gift, if restricted. We will provide you with specific wiring instructions for your broker.
