Field Lab at Griffy Woods – Summer Science for High Schoolers

Grades: 9-12
Lace up those hiking boots and take to the woods! Work side-by-side with ecologists from Indiana University Research and Teaching Preserve to study and analyze our local forest habitats. During this weeklong event you will: put on waders to assess stream and river bank quality, measure air quality and discover how forests “breathe.” Participants will get their hands dirty practicing the theory of biophilia (humanity’s predisposition to connect with nature), Participate in scientific research and learn to be an advocate for the environment.
Times:
- Arrival Time: 8:30 a.m.
- Session Time: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Leave by: 4:30 p.m.
