Cardiovascular Systems – In this Animal Hour we will be exploring how different animals are able to move things around their body like oxygen and nutrients and will be building our own heart models. Materials are not necessary but if you would ike to participate in the activity you will want to bring with you a Mason jar or glass, 1 small water balloon, 1 large balloon, water, red food coloring (Optional), 2 straws, rubber bands or tape, scissors and a tray. This program supports Indiana Academic State standards for life science and Earth and space science for grades 1-5.
