In this episode of Animal Hour we will be looking at the importance of trees, most notably in the rainforests. Materials are not necessary but if you would like to join in on the activity you will want to bring 3 plastic bottles cut in half long ways, 3 cups, and water. In one of the bottles you will want plain dirt, in another you will want to dig up some grass with the roots and dirt, and in the third you will want dirt with leaf litter and sticks on top. This program will cover Indiana state academic standards for Life Science for grades 1-6.
