Friday, November 17

Acid rain sounds like something that would be found on an alien planet, but, unfortunately, acid rain is a very real phenomenon here on Earth. Join us this week in Animal Hour as we discuss what acid rain is, how its made and what that means for the things that live on Earth. Materials are not necessary but if you would like to participate in the activity you will want to bring with you white vinegar, tap water, baking soda and red cabbage juice (boil red cabbage in water for 15 minutes keep the juice and let it cool to room temperature). This program supports Indiana Academic State standards for Life Science and Chemistry for grades 1-6.
