Humans have invented many ways of keeping our bodies at the perfect temperature. Join us in this Animal Hour as we learn about how other animals control how their bodys’ feel. Materials are not necessary but if you would like to participate in the activity you will want to bring a large bowl of ice water, a towel, 1 empty plastic bag (preferably the kind that snap closed), and 1 plastic bag about half full with a solid cooking fat of some kind (butter, margarine, lard etc. Dont worry, it will still be able to be used after). This program supports Indiana Academic State standards for Life Sciences and Earth and Atmospheric Science for grades 1-6.
