December Theme: Zoology. This December, Discovery Time invites young scientists to wiggle, roar, crawl, and explore the wild world of animals! Through music, art, storytelling, and imaginative movement, children will discover how animals move, communicate, adapt, and survive in different habitats. From furry forest creatures to ocean swimmers and desert dwellers, each week highlights a new animal group with hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and wonder. Preschoolers will practice scientific thinking by asking questions, making observations, and comparing animal traits—like feathers vs. fur, or paws vs. claws. Discovery Time nurtures developing minds through playful, collaborative exploration led by early childhood specialists. Join us as we bring the science of zoology to life, one animal adventure at a time.

It is said that young children experience the world and express themselves in a hundred languages. Discovery Time utilizes a broad array of these learning languages – including music, art, stories, and creative movement to connect children to science. Young children are developing increasingly complex theories about the world, rapidly gaining language, and learning to work with others. Discovery Time activities are designed by early childhood specialists specifically to nurture and challenge the rapid development of preschool-aged children in a fun, safe, and collaborative learning environment.
Discovery Time sparks the interest of science education in young children by teaching them how to explore a broad range of topics with a curious mindset. Each month will have a different focus, spanning topics such as chemistry, space, physics, anatomy, and more. Spend some quality time with your child and meet other caregivers in your community.
