Friday, September 29 – Trash Talk
It is no secret that humans, whether intentionally or not, have treated our water systems like a trash can. Join us in this edition of Dive Deeper when we take a look at some technology from around the world that is being used to try to clean up the ocean and even try to build our own trash collection devices. Materials are not necessary but if you would like to participate in the activity, you will want to bring with you a long flat bin or dish, water, a towel, a container that will not float in water, and two items about ½ the width of your pan that will sink. This program supports Indiana Academic State standards for life science for grades 1-5.
