Spring Break WonderCamp Details

Session Title: Rhythms of Nature

Dates: Monday, March 16 – Friday, March 20, 2026

Session Location: Loesch Farm, 2687 Loesch Rd, Bloomington,IN

Grades: K-8

Rhythms of Nature gives campers a hands-on, immersive experience with local plant and animal communities. Campers will investigate the edibility, medicinal value, utilitarian (tool use), and even musical instrument potential of various plants. Campers will also deepen their understanding of the relationships between animals and their habitats by studying tracks and clues left behind. There will also be opportunities for campers to learn about fire tending and using fire for cooking. Daily adventures will explore the different ecosystems on the property, including deciduous forests, groundhog burrows, creek beds, and more!

Times:

  • Campers Arrive as early as: 8:30 a.m.
  • Session Time:  9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Campers Leave by: 4:30 p.m.

Transportation: There are two options for getting your children to and from Spring Break WonderCamp.

  • Option 1 – Parents may drop and pick-up their children directly at Loesch Farm.
  • Option 2: Free transportation via Bloomington Rural Transit is available from WonderLab. Drop off starts at 8:30 and the bus leaves at 8:45. Rural Transit will return with campers between 4:00- 4:30. All campers must be picked up by 4:30

Session Location: Loesch Farm

Loesch Farm is 68 acres of woodland, organic pasture and gardens located in Bloomington, Indiana owned by Jeff Mease.

Loesch Farm Schedule

Parents are welcome to drop off and pick up their children directly from Loesch Farm.

  • 8:30am: Parents may begin dropping off children at the farm.
  • 9am – 4pm: Camp Session  
  • 4 – 4:30pm: Parents may pick up their children at the farm
  • 4:30pm: All children must be picked up. 

NOTE: We are delighted to offer a free transportation option from WonderLab to Loesch Farm. Select the transportation option during registration.

Rural Transit Transportation Option

Free transportation via Bloomington Rural Transit is available from WonderLab to the camp session location at Loesch Farm. 

Take advantage of free transportation for your child during our special spring break WonderCamp. During registration select: “Yes! I would like my child to ride the Rural Transit Bus from WonderLab to Loesch Farm.”

Parents can drop off their children daily as early at 8:30am. The bus will leave promptly at 8:45am. Parents must pick up their children daily by 4:30pm. Curbside drop-off and pick-up. There is no need to park. Staff will be at the drop-off / pick-up lines. Signs will indicate traffic flow. Note: It is not mandatory that campers ride the bus. The Rural Transit bus is optional.

  • 8:30 am – Drop off begins at WonderLab
  • 8:45 am – Rural Transit Bus leaves WonderLab 
  • 9am – Rural Transit Bus Arrives at Loesch Farm
  • NOTE: The bus will leave promptly at 8:45am. If you miss the bus you are responsible for bringing your child to camp.

Rural Transit Bus Afternoon Schedule

  • 4:15pm – Rural Transit Bus arrives at WonderLab
  • 4:15 – 4:30pm – Parent pick up at WonderLab
  • NOTE: Children must be picked up by 4:30pm
