Ring in the New Year—without staying up ‘til midnight! 

WonderLab’s New Year’s Eve 2025 celebration begins at 1pm and lasts all the way till 6pm (aka: early midnight!).  Drop in for a joyful, science-filled celebration perfect for families with young children. Party with your little ones before bedtime! Stay through the count-down, and leave with memories, smiles, and maybe even a little sparkle! WonderLab New Year’s Eve 2025 activities are free with museum admission and free for WonderLab members.

Kids New Year’s Activities Include

  • Live Music to Move To

    1:30 pm – The Sera-tones: All-girl indie rock band from Bloomington.

    5:30 pm – Glitter Brains: A punk rock, party band for kids and adults. Think: high-energy, bubble-gummy punk!

  • The Glitter Room! 

    Discover all the science that sparkles in this special pop-up exhibit!

  • Catapult Station

    Sling a shooting star or snowball and explore motion, angles, and wintery fun.

  • Baby Ball Pit

    A cozy sensory space for our youngest visitors (ages 0–6 months).

  • Meet Stuffee

    Learn about anatomy and healthy habits for the new year with Stuffee, WonderLab’s 6-foot, soft-bodied friend.

  • Hissing Cockroach Demos

    Up close with some of nature’s most misunderstood creatures!

  • Countdown to the New Year

    Celebrate with us as we ring in the New Year WonderLab-style—with excitement, science, and glitter galore.
