From microscopic bacteria to us humans, we are all made of cells. But what are cells? Why are they so tiny? In this edition of Animal Hour we are discussing one of the characteristic all living things share. Materials are not necessary but if you would like to participate in the activity you will want to bring with you 16 mini marshmallows and/or 8 regular marshmallows, 2 plates, 2 cups of water and food coloring. This program supports Indiana Academic State standards for Math and Life Sciences for grades 1-6.
