Visiting WonderLab is great way to spend time with family. It’s easy to plan a visit. Remember there are lots of great options for parking downtown close to WonderLab. The museum sits in the heart of the Bloomington arts and culture district adjacent to the B-Line Trail which is a safe place to walk for single persons or groups with strollers or wheelchairs.
Free parking is available on Saturdays and Sundays at the Monroe Convention Center, 302 S College Ave. Spots are located on the west side of the convention center lot just across the B-Line Trail. After parking, walk the B-Line north for just one block to WonderLab.
NEW PARKING LOCATION ADDED AS OF 4/18/19: Limited free parking is available to the general public after 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday across the street from the Convention Center. The parking lot, near the Napa Auto Parts Building, is located on the southeast corner of College and 3rd Street.
Visitors can also park at the Morton Street Garage, located at 220 N Morton St. The garage entrance is located on Morton St between 6th and 7th Streets. There are several handicap accessible parking spots available. The first hour of parking in the garage is free. After the first hour, Morton Street Garage prices are .50 cents per hour Monday through Saturday. Garage parking is free on Sundays.
It’s an easy walk to WonderLab from the Morton Street Garage. After exiting the garage walk to the B-Line Trail and turn south; the path leads directly to WonderLab. As you’re walking you’ll pass the Bloomington Bagel Company and Bloomingfoods Co-Op. Maybe grab a snack, and enjoy the college town culture on your way.
WonderLab has metered street parking located around the museum. There is a handicap spot directly in front of the entrance. Metered parking is also available on Morton street as well as around the square, just one block east from the museum. If you choose to park on the square be sure to take advantage of Bloomington’s varied selection of family-friendly restaurants.
All Bloomington parking meters are .25 cents per 15 minutes (no maximum) Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Parking meters are free on Sunday. Parking meters accept nickels, dimes and quarters. For a .30 cent convenience fee you can pay for the meter with your MasterCard, Visa, or Discover for an hour or more of parking.
WonderLab is an award-winning science museum located at 308 W. Fourth St. on the B-Line Trail in Bloomington, Indiana. The museum is open to the public from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
